  • Dr. Mark E. Messal

    Dr. Messal is the owner of West Side Pet Hospital and Paw's Inn. He was born and raised in Michigan until the age of 13 when his family moved to Evansville. He attended Mater Dei High School and graduated from Purdue University in 1997.

    Dr. Messal joined the team of doctors at West Side Pet Hospital in June of 1997. In 2001, Dr. Mahrenholz, the doctor who founded West Side Pet Hospital retired and Dr. Messal purchased the hospital. He is active in all operations of the hospital as well as a practicing doctor.

  • Dr. Neil I. Phillips

    Dr. Phillips was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He attended Shaker Heights High School and graduated from Ohio State University in 1972. Dr. Phillips owned and operated a veterinary clinic in Kentucky for over 20 years.

    He joined West Side Pet Hospital in 1999. In addition to dogs and cats, he works with exotics.
